Ashlie’s favorites for 24 hours in Vermont

First things first: Breakfast at August First Bakery. Get their Dirty Pork & Egg Sandwich - trust me. Then wander downtown Burlington, especially Church St. There are so many amazing shops, like Vault Collective, and Golden Hour Gift Co. If you need some good vintage antiques too, hit Barge Canal Market. Head south to Shelburne and grab lunch at Folino’s…if you’re already feeling that kick for Vermont Brews or Vinos, you can grab a Fiddlehead from Folino’s or drop across the street to Shelburne Vineyard. Keep heading south and hit Philo Ridge Farm and grab food for a picnic. Throw it in a backpack and head over to Mt. Philo. It’s about a 40 minute hike up and when you get to the top, stay for the sunset. WORTH IT. The view of the setting sun over the Adirodacks and a picnic…doesn’t get much more Vermonty. Take the paved “car” road down in the dark if you’re nervous or the woods for an adventure. Swing back up to Burlington and hit The Whisky Room for a nightcap. On your way out in the morning from our rentals - swing down to Sweet Simone’s for breakfast. Bagel & Lox if you ask me, but you can’t go wrong with anything there!

Brad’s favorites for 24 hours in Vermont

Hope you have a mountain bike for this itinerary! (Just kidding you can walk/skateboard/segway through this day too) Hit the Jericho Country store for breakfast and grab a Barnyard Sandwich & Coffee to fuel up. Then swing over to Mobbs Farm - full morning of biking, or hiking, or just general exploring [Bring Fido]. Then swing over to Jericho Ale and Bean - these guys are awesome. Your choice: Either a coffee or a beer - I suggest both. Just sayin. Then swing up and over to the Lamoille Valley Rail Trail - right at the beginning of the Trail is Lost Nation, where you should start with some food and on your way back, a brew. Now if you bike like me, you’re probably hungry again. On your way back to our rentals, stop at Hatchet in downtown Richmond for dinner. Might I suggest you order the Buffalo Cauliflower bites - they’re phenomenal. Cheers!
